Pancha Kavyam - The Secrets revealed

Panchakavya is a compound word formed by "Pancha," which means five, and "Kavya," which means a mixture. It is derived from cow's dung and has significant meanings. Each of its components, including curd, is distinct and possesses different tastes and qualities. The combination of these ingredients results in an excellent tonic.

Panchakavya is prepared by obtaining five primary ingredients from cows:
1) Cow dung
2) Cow urine
3) Milk
4) Ghee
5) Curd.
When these five elements are mixed correctly, Panchakavya is formed.

Panchakavya plays a crucial role in Hindu rituals, Ayurveda, organic farming, and agriculture. It is used to make beneficial manure for crops, helping them grow vigorously. Further increases the body's disease-fighting capability. When performing Abhishekam with Panchakavya, various benefits are obtained.

Panchamrit: Health, longevity
Panchatayir: Traditional blessings
Panchamney: Prosperity
Gomutram: Removing negativity
Gomay: Purification In general, sins decrease and merits increase.
In large cowsheds, there is no scarcity of sunlight. Hence, in very cold climates, the opportunities for the growth of microbes, bacteria, and fungi are abundant in places like gutters, pits, and waste areas. The presence of these microorganisms, pathogens, and pests is more likely. The science of Panchakavya highlights the methods to eliminate them effectively. Moreover, due to its sacred nature, Panchakavya is highly regarded as an excellent cleansing substance.

After consecrating statues with various valuable materials, the natural inherent purity of those statues is further enhanced, as explained by science. The miraculous and natural sanctity of these statues increases significantly after performing the consecration with Panchakavya, as substantiated by science. It is a scientific fact that Panchakavya enhances the divine energy and miraculous powers of these statues after the consecration.

Panchakavya is a combination of five sacred substances, all of which are considered holy and pure. In Hindu tradition, these elements hold significant importance and are revered. During the present times, these Panchakavya substances are considered essential and hold a prominent place. Panchakavya is used in various Hindu rituals and ceremonies, where it is given a unique place for worship.

Within this Panchakavya, different deities are believed to reside. Each component holds significance, and when combined, they form Panchakavya. This natural mixture carries a profound significance and is considered a potent purifying agent. It has various specific measurements used during ceremonial ablutions.

For instance, to prepare the Panchakavya for ceremonial purposes, one needs a vessel weighing around 500 grams. It should contain cow's urine (35 grams), cow's dung (an amount of cow dung needed to make a paste to cover one's finger), cow's milk (245 grams), cow's curd (105 grams), and ghee (35 grams). Additionally, darbha grass (35 grams) is included in this preparation.

Another method:
Cow's urine: 1 unit (approximately 100 milliliters)
Cow dung: 2 units (approximately 200 milliliters)
Cow's ghee: 1 unit (approximately 100 milliliters)
Cow's milk: 1 unit (approximately 100 milliliters)
Curd made from cow's milk: 1 unit (approximately 100 milliliters)
Mix all these ingredients with 3 units of water (approximately 300 milliliters).
To prepare Panchakavya, mix cow's milk with cow's urine, then add curd from cow's milk, followed by cow's ghee and cow dung. Avoid using buffalo milk and other items.

There are different breeds of cows, each with different colors. There is a connection between the color of cows and the qualities of the milk they produce.
Panchakavya Preparation:
From a red cow, take milk.
From a blue(bluish black) cow, take curd.
From a black cow, take ghee.
From a white cow, take cow dung.
Collect each of these separately to prepare Panchakavya.

The best Panchakavya is prepared by the term "ஆனைந்த" in Tamil. In cow's urine, Varuna (god of water) is present, in cow dung, Agni (god of fire), in curd, Vayu (god of air), in milk, Chandra (the moon god), and in ghee, Surya (the sun god) reside.

Milk purifies the skin. Curd bestows progeny. Cow urine dispels all sins. Cow dung cures diseases. Ghee grants liberation. Milk cleanses the sky. Curd purifies the air. Ghee purifies the fire. Cow urine purifies water. Cow dung purifies the earth. The human body, being composed of the five elements, as mentioned above, has the ability to balance and regulate the vital life force (prana) affected by milk. Curd corrects and regulates the impaired Vayu (one of the bodily humors responsible for the breath). Ghee corrects and regulates the increased Ushna Vayu (another bodily humor responsible for heat). Cow urine corrects and regulates the imbalanced bodily elements related to water. Cow dung removes impurities from the body.
Panchagavya, prepared in the correct manner, is used in traditional medicine to cure diseases. As an example, to prepare Panchagavya, a copper vessel is needed, and before starting the process, one should place a lotus leaf inside the vessel. If there is any leakage in that vessel, then the Panchagavya cannot be prepared using that vessel. When consumed, Panchagavya enhances the body's disease-fighting capabilities. It can effectively treat various stubborn diseases.

Panchagavya possesses unique properties that aid in the healing process. On the day of Chaturdashi (14th day of the lunar month), one should consume Panchagavya on an empty stomach before sunrise on the day of Pournami (Full Moon day).

By regularly consuming Panchagavya, even a small spoonful daily, one can prevent many diseases. Those who already have ailments can also benefit from consuming it regularly, as it helps in their recovery.

In a place devoid of light, Panchagavya becomes purified when clarified. Any wrongdoings, sins, evil actions, or negative influences in a place can be dispelled by the use of Panchagavya. In a place where business and trade are conducted, by purifying the space, the blessings of Goddess Lakshmi will manifest. Prosperity and success in business will be attained. In a spot where a financial transaction is made, if Panchagavya is clarified and sprinkled, wealth will increase abundantly. Evil spirits and malevolent entities that afflict those affected should be given a small amount of Panchagavya, reciting a mantra, and then make them drink a little. This will ward off evil spirits and malevolent entities. Evil mantras will vanish.

If taken with medicine, it will have a beneficial effect on the stomach and reduce the side effects of the medicine. If you have performed harmful rituals such as black magic using items like black thread, magic ash, charcoal, sandalwood powder, etc., then you cannot purify yourself there with benevolent rituals. The negative energies will disperse and leave. The family deity will come to your home. Panchagavya can be purified on all days, but it is especially auspicious to do so during Amavasya, Pournami (full moon day), Chaturthi, Friday, and other specific auspicious days.
